Exceptional Design Details

It is no mistake that the combined experience of Morgan Scientific in the United States and Medisoft engineers in Europe account for some 45 years in pulmonary function testing. Knowledge gained in design, scientific measurement, testing experience and customer needs has resulted in products that excel in this field.

How DLCO is Supposed to be Measured

Set-up for DLCO is fully automated with the diffusion gas added to an inspiratory reservoir at atmospheric pressure. For the test subject, breathing-in is just like taking a breath from room air; this completely removes gagging experienced by patients on equipment using demand valves! Once the test has been completed, gas analysis is automated with proper gas conditioning using a chemical absorber ensures that all measurements are dry and CO2 free.

Extraordinary Valve and Pneumotach

The TransAir3 patient valve and pneumotach are superbly designed for years of reliable and trouble-free operation. The valve utilizes direct pistons which operate quietly and allow for minimal valve dead space. The Lilly pneumotach is highly linear across all physiological flow ranges and hold calibration exceptionally well. It is heated to minimize any moisture build-up and easyily removes for dissassembly and cleaning .

Quality Electronics and Equipment Design Experience

The TransAir3 console is superbly engineered using the finest materials and transducer choices. Its heritage comes from years of specialized experience in pulmonary function equipment design and manufacture. The gas sensors are mounted externally for easy and inexpensive exchange when alerted by the software.

Ergonomic Cart and Appeal

The robust high-quality mobile console features innovative cable management, power distribution, left/right mouse configuration and a convenient consumables drawer. For dramatic appeal, the console side panels have LED's for illumination! Instruments are supplied with an optional all-in-one PC with wireless mouse and keyboard. Not only does this provide a clean and tidy appearance, it offers brilliant graphics and consummate ease of operation. For laboratory or office settings the TransAir3 alongside its contemporary PC and striking console purvey quality and distinction!

Optional Portable Configuration

For customers wishing to do portable PFT testing, an optional desk platform is available. Learn more.

Dear Mr. Morgan,
It is with great pleasure that I reflect on my 23 years of experience with Morgan Pulmonary Function Labs.

Before entering private practice 21 years ago, we had a Morgan Lab at my fellowship hospital.  Since that time, I have purchased 3 Morgan Labs for my 2 offices.  All 4 of these labs received heavy daily use and performed remarkably well.  To the best of my recollection, in 23 years of use, we have had approximately 10 down days from equipment problems.

In fact, I only replaced my original lab after 20 years when spare parts and software support became unavailable.

In addition to a well designed, well thought out and well built physical machine, the current software is rapid and easy to negotiate.

The level of technical support from you and your staff has been overwhelming for these last 2 decades.  Whether your people are speaking to a cracker jack certified PFT technician, a busy and distracted physician, or a nurse filling in for a CPFT/RT, they are always able to calm us down and walk us through the problem.  On the rare occasion where the problem has required replacement parts or Morgan Technician attendance, these have materialized in short order (overnight. in most circumstances).

Some of the hospitals I have been affiliated with have not used Morgan equipment and their level of problems and downtime is at least an order of magnitude higher.

With so many satisfied customers, my praise will be of little import. However, as one who has had Morgan by my side in the trenches for lo these many years, I would be happy to speak with any potential clients.  I remain,
Yours truly,
