Portable Compact Design -  Same High Quality Measurements

The TransAir3 Portable is the same device as the Transair3, but configured for portability with a rugged travelling case and desktop platform. Since the TransAir3 only requires 1 tank of gas (DLCO) and requires very little maintanence, it is ideal for those who are on a budget and travelling from site to site. Tests of spirometry, flow volume loop, single breath diffusion, TLC by nitrogen recovery, cough peak flow, bronchial challenge and respiratory pressures are all included. The TLC by nitrogen recovery is regarded as a screening measure and if lung volumes are a priority we would recommend plethysmographic or helium dilution alternatives. Learn more about nitrogen recovery lung volumes.

The TransAir3 Portable is capable of dynamic and static spirometry, DLCO, lung volumes via nitrogen recovery, and more.

Small & Mighty

The TransAir3 has a very small footprint of about 2 ft by 2 ft, yet it was designed to reliably measure all patients ranging from small children to adults with severe COPD. The TransAir3 has a long lineage of high performance in mobile environments. In the 70's, the Transflow Test (PK Morgan, Ltd.) was hauled around the North Sea oil platforms to monitor pulmonary function in oil rig workers. In the 90's, a fleet of Transflows were used in mobile testing enviroments all over the United States to test asbestos exposed construction and shipyard workers. Today the TransAir3 benefits from the decades of experience in engineering a Full PFT system that is clinically proven yet tough enough for portable use.
